Step into the unknown. The monsters are only in your head.

Step into the unknown. The monsters are only in your head.

Even though we are adults now, we are still afraid. We are still afraid of the dark, the unknown. Just like when we were children, most of our fears are created by our minds.

The mind is so powerful.

I am afraid. I am stepping into the unknown as I start to put my work out there for the world to see. What could grab my ankles as I step into the dark? People could hate every word, laugh, or try to tear me down. I could offend someone. I could make mistakes. I could fail. Even if all of these things happen, grabbing my ankles, I don’t have to let them hold me back. I can shake it off and keep moving. Keep moving into the unknown. Keep moving.

I don’t want my fears to keep me from experiencing the good in this journey. People could relate to what I have to say, enjoy it, and lift me up. I could lift someone else up. I could succeed. I don’t want my fears to keep me from knowing what could happen.

What you are afraid of only has power over you if you let it. Don’t be held back a moment longer. You will be amazed what happens when you stop being afraid.

Let’s step fearlessly into the unknown, together.
